Martin and his partner have been together for over thirty years and have three children and five grandchildren together. They never intended to get married as they felt committed enough to each other without a ceremony to prove it. However, now that their children have grown up and started their own families, they changed their minds and decided that a wedding would be a wonderful celebration to enjoy with their loved ones. Since none of their family expected them to be getting married, Martin planned a surprise anniversary party to share the news. The party was planned to take place at their home, with a delicious menu from Hog Roast Smarden and a drinks service to allow the couple to share their news.
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Smarden team arrived at the private home in the afternoon and began to prepare for the 7:00pm serving time. For our menu, we began by preparing a delicious slow-roasted hog, which was cooked to perfection and expertly carved by our chef. The sliced meat was then served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. For meat-free guests, we also provided BBQ-pulled jackfruit. The mains were served buffet style alongside homemade chips, gourmet coleslaw, and a selection of salad dishes, allowing the guests to create a delicious meal from the dishes we had on offer. Once everyone was enjoying their meal, our waiting staff served a round of champagne to the guests, allowing Martin to make his surprise toast. Everyone was shocked and excited by the news of the engagement and the talk soon turned to when the pair will be tying the knot!
