Summer officially began this week and suddenly everything feels a bit brighter. Events are rolling in, the sunshine has finally decided to show up and we are so excited!

Saturday’s 40th birthday in Maidstone had that perfect mix of sunshine, good people and great food 🎉 Chris and the team served our famous hog roast and it went down exactly the way a milestone celebration should: full plates, big smiles and guests coming back for seconds all afternoon. A brilliant atmosphere for a brilliant birthday.
Nothing brings a party together quite like our famous hog roast. Crispy crackling, slow‑cooked pork and that unmistakable aroma that gets everyone lining up with a smile. Chris and the team kept the service flowing and the atmosphere stayed bright from the first serving to the last. A proper celebration with proper food.

Everything was so well communicated from start to finish. When The Spitting Pig team arrived on the day, they were friendly, organised, and made setting up look effortless. Chris the chef was fantastic, and the food was absolutely stunning - the meat literally melted in the mouth! The sides of coleslaw, corn on the cob, and mac and cheese were the perfect additions.
They worked so hard on what was a horrid, cold, rainy night - yet not a single complaint, just dish after dish of gorgeous food, served generously and with plenty left to enjoy after the party too. Top work! Thank you so much for making my birthday party such a success!!

I highly recommend the Spitting Pig Co. We had a ceilidh to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary and this outside caterer smoothly and efficiently provided a superb supper for over 100 guests . Every guest has said that the food was exceptional. The portions were generous; the side orders freshly prepared and went very well with the roast pig. The caterers themselves were delightful to deal with and coped well with a hitch in the electricity supply on the evening to deliver the food on time. I cannot recommend them enough.

The guys on the day and leading up to it were great. We had a GF guest and they were able to reassure them and us that her needs would be catered to. (I.e. no cross contamination etc). We had so many compliments on the food, and were very excited they had a packaged the leftovers for us to enjoy after the wedding! Thoroughly recommend them! Thanks a bunch!

We hired the spitting pig for our wedding, because we wanted good hearty food to serve our guests. The spitting pig liased with our venue easily to arrange set up. The food was exceptional and better than expected, we have multiple guests go up for seconds. The service was great and I didnt even notice them leave. We got left thw remainder of the food which I did not expect at all. I must say the mac and cheese and the pulled pork was my favourite.

We used The Spitting Pig for my husband's 50th Birthday Party this weekend. Communication with the company throughout was spot on and all questions asked were answered in a very timely manner.
The team arrived on time, (not that I knew, as I was being dancing) but they set up and got the cooking underway with no fuss, even though it was sweltering heat. Everything was ready to go when planned and what can I say, the Hog and accompaniments went down an absolute treat with our guests, it was all a real success! We had 86 guests but there was a mountain of food to go around (plus 2nd/3rd helpings) and I even got to take some leftovers home...bonus!
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Spitting Pig and I'm looking forward to the next event we host so we can book them again, they are THAT good.

After a recommendation from my sister, we used the Spitting Pig for our family party of 60 or so people. As we live abroad, we counted on them to take the weight of food planning and service off our hands. What can we say? Communication with the team and catering manager was brilliant, food menu choices left us in a terrible dilemma as they were so extensive it made deciding a very tough task. We went with the "Southern Slow", and, wow, it was spectacular. We had a mixed party of young people, middle-aged and older, and everyone - I mean EVERYONE - said it was just delicious. The team there on the day basically needed nothing more than us to tell them where we'd like them to set up. and then were completely autonomous from that moment on. They were super-efficient and friendly. At one point when I asked a question, I was told "Don't worry, this is what we do". So I didn't :-) Timing was spot on, cleanup impeccable, and no-one left hungry. One last word is my 20 year old son who lives in France - and really misses his English sausages - had a fight with his uncle over the last of the fabulous sausages. My son won :-) Thank you so much for helping make our day truly memorable. I would recommend you without hesitation.
