Hog Roast Downswood are no strangers to catering birthday party events, but when they were contacted by their latest client they were very excited about doing the catering. The birthday boy client wanted the Hog Roast Downswood team to feed his 25 party guests at his 90th birthday party. The team felt privileged to be a part of such a momentous milestone in the client’s life and were only too happy to work with him to create a menu that appealed to his tastes.
The party was to take place at the client’s house, and he was very happy for the catering team to set up their gazebo, lights and equipment on the patio of his back garden. The team would also set up the buffet table, complete with high quality disposable crockery, cutlery and napkins under their catering gazebo. And at the end of the event the team would gather all the waste generated throughout the event and take it away with them to dispose of safely and responsibly, a service that the client was thrilled about as it meant he did not have to worry about it.
The menu the Hog Roast Downswood Chef would be preparing on site in the hours leading up to the 4pm serving time included a whole host of tasty treats. These treats included Creole Pulled Quarter of Spiced Lamb and BBQ Pork Butt, both of which would be slow roasted until they were tender and full of flavour. Other delicious dishes on offer at the buffet table included: succulent corn cobettes, a seasonal green leaf salad, Mac and Cheese and skin-on Southern style whole backed potatoes. The client also wanted a vegetarian option to be made available for the guests too, so the Hog Roast Downswood Chef selected to include succulently grilled vegetable and halloumi wraps, with an optional, exciting Tzatziki sauce.
The loving event was a big success. All 25 guests were quick to enjoy the tasty food and the client was delighted with the hard work done by the team, everything was perfect.
