The anticipation of a new addition to the family is a cause for celebration like no other, and for soon-to-be parents Heather and Drew, the countdown to meeting their bundle of joy is down to just a handful of weeks.
To mark this exciting next chapter in their lives, the pair hosted a delightful baby shower last weekend, turning their local town hall into a hub of happiness.
The guest list, totalling 50 of the couple’s friends and family, shared in the excitement as they participated in games like baby shower bingo, baby bump balloon pop, and a new born trivia quiz. The town hall, chosen for its spacious setting, provided the perfect backdrop for the lively entertainment. Adding to the celebration’s flair was Hog Roast Orpington, with catering manager Chris leading the charge.
From our vast array of menu choices available, the couple wisely opted for the Alfresco Menu –Â a decision that left their guests praising the delectable spread!
Charcuterie boards adorned with a premium selection of Italian cold cuts, cheeses, and artisan breads became the perfect nibble for guests throughout the festivities. For the main course – and what a main course it was – Hog Roast Orpington served a spectacular hog roast with crispy crackling, sage and onion stuffing and applesauce, all sandwiched between gluten-free rolls. The rich and meaty flavours left everyone clamouring for more.
Ensuring everyone felt included, Hog Roast Orpington served a tasty meat-free option. Grilled vegetable and halloumi kebabs, accompanied by tzatziki dip and flatbreads ensured the veggies and vegans were well looked after. We also presented inclusive sides, consisting of roasted new potatoes and garden-fresh side salads.
The culinary journey came to a close with tempting desserts—light and refreshing tarte au citron and luxurious profiteroles swimming in a decadent chocolate sauce provided a sweet treat no one could resist.
As the meal wrapped up, Heather and Drew, surrounded by their loved ones, delved into the heartfelt gifts generously given by their guests. Meanwhile, Hog Roast Orpington worked seamlessly in the background, clearing away cutlery, crockery, and catering equipment. At the couple’s request, our catering team carefully packaged the leftovers, providing Heather and Drew with a delicious extension of the celebration to enjoy in the days to come.
