Hog Roast Shepway simply couldn’t believe the incredible milestone their latest clients had reached! Mavis and George were celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary and they wanted a party for them, their children, their grandchildren and their great grandchildren to enjoy!
The whole of the team were excited for this event, even though only Catering Manager Chris would get to be at the event. Clients Mavis and George worked with the team to come up with a simple but tasty menu of dishes that would be appealing to all 23 of their guests.
As the serving time was set for 5pm friendly Chef Chris arrived at the clients home, where the party was taking place, an hour or so before midday. This gave Chris plenty of time to set up the catering gazebo, lights and cooking equipment in the clients back garden. As soon as everything was set up Catering Manager Chris got straight to work producing all the delicious dishes for the guests to tuck into at 5pm.
The main attraction at the buffet table (and client George’s particular favourite) was the slow spit roasted turkey that was served with fresh cranberries and homemade sage and onion stuffing. There was also a large platter of grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers and BBQ pulled jackfruit. But that wasn’t all! Completing the buffet there was Chefs choice of 3 salads (one of which was the very tasty carrot and orange with sesame dressing), a basket of soft gluten free rolls and a large tray of piping hot jacket potatoes. For the younger few guests Chef Chris cooked up some sausages and fried onions, so that they could have hot dogs. Mavis and George loved this attention to detail!
As part of the catering package that Mavis and George paid for, the Hog Roast Shepway team provided the guests the use of wooden bamboo crockery and cutlery for the guests to use, along with disposable napkins. These items were quietly gathered by Chris after they had been used by the guests and the buffet had been enjoyed.
After the event the clients sent their thanks to the whole team and Catering Manager Chris in particular. It had been as wonderful as they had wanted.
