The early tells of the wedding season beginning are here. Clocks going forward, the sun staying longer into the night, the days getting warmer, the wedding fairs cropping up across the country, and now, as of this past weekend in Wateringbury, the weddings themselves beginning to kick into high gear!
Wedding season is our favourite time of year at Hog Roast Wateringbury. No other event throws up such consistent high quality for a caterer. Every event is enjoyed to its fullest when it comes to wedding catering; the venues are spectacular, the guests and the hosts even more so, and the dining is always required to reach such a high level. No other event tests us better, and we always enjoy the privilege that being a part of a couple’s special day affords us.
Louise and Gary’s wedding at the excellent Wateringbury Village Hall was no different. Once again we were privileged to contribute to a special day. One which brought matrimony, plenty of dancing, and our exceptional roasts long into the evening air over Wateringbury village.
The Hog Roast Wateringbury team joined for the reception, by which point we knew guests would be very ready for some quality dining come the 19.30 serving time. As ever, we made sure to deliver. In the pleasant evening air we had our buffet range set up. Our prize dish being the hog roast, which guests lined up to see carved and hand pulled for serving before then piling their plates up high with further accompaniments of sage and onion stuffing to balance with the crispy texture of our pork, fresh apple sauce for more juiciness, creamy coleslaw, mixed salad and tomato and mozzarella salad for a more fresh feel, a tomato pasta salad, herb dressed new potatoes to soak up all of the pork juices, and finally grilled veg and halloumi skewers as a veggie friendly alternative.
