Hog Roast Biddenden recently heard back from one of our latest clients, Jenny, who had asked us to handle the catering for her daughters birthday celebration that took place over the weekend.
Even with nowhere to go and no-one beyond those living within the household to see, the client had been keen to treat her soon-to-be 14-year-old daughter, Lily to a memorable birthday dinner. And in her search to find the perfect feast for the occasion, Jenny soon stumbled across the Hog Roast Biddenden website.
The combination of reading through our selection of tantalising menu options and scrolling over our Instagram grid of mouth-watering food photos did more than enough to convince Jenny to pick up the phone; and after speaking with our catering manager, Chris about the options we have on offer, she settled her mind on the southern slow roast option, which is exceedingly popular among our younger clientele.
With some guidance from Chris, Jenny was then able to piece together the perfect menu for the day; which consisted of fall off the bone Louisiana sticky pork ribs, Cajun spiced whole roast free-range chickens and Texan 24 hour beef brisket; along with a meatless option of flavour-packed BBQ pulled jackfruit buns for Lily’s vegan sister. Jenny also chose our mac and cheese, seasonal green leaf salad, Memphis style crunchy coleslaw and mixed fries with a selection of spicy and smokey sauces to accompany the mains; followed by a delicious homemade chocolate torte for pudding.
Once happy with her choice of meats, sides, accompaniments and dessert, Jenny left the preparation in the capable hands of Chris and the team, who spent much of the morning and a little of the afternoon on Saturday preparing a gorgeous meal for the birthday girl.
Immediately after the meats finished cooking, Chris carefully packaged up the goods and headed off to the client’s home where a balloon arch let him know he was in the right place. After notifying Jenny of the delivery’s arrival, Chris left the parcel of still-piping-hot food on the doorstep and headed back to HQ.
