Here at Hog Roast Newington, we know how to have a good time. As a large company, our teams have been to thousands of incredibly fun birthday parties, weddings and surprise celebrations. Not just for the guests, but our staff are so enthusiastic about the lively events and bringing great vibes and even greater foods every event.
Just last weekend, our own team at Hog Roast Newington got such a fun and exciting opportunity to cater for a surprise wedding reception after the bride and groom secretly eloped in Las Vegas! The bride really was the queen of winning over people’s hearts upon breaking the good news. And of course, our team was in on the secret and kept our mouths zipped until the time came.
After we enjoyed exhilarating announcement, our team got stuck into serving the guests. For this event, we served our Alfresco Menu which is perfect for outdoor setting and the incoming summer hot weather – you don’t always want piping hot meals on days like this and that is why this menu offers lots of options and “picky bits” if you don’t fancy the lot.
On offer was grilled vegetable and haloumi skewers which weren’t just tasty but beautifully colourful, matching the lively atmosphere of the day. We barbequed a selection of meaty fresh burgers and smoky sizzling sausages (all locally sourced) which were served in soft white, seeded brown or gluten free bread rolls with crispy roast potatoes on the side. Each meal was carefully presented on wooden bamboo crockery and cutlery for aesthetics and sustainability
The day was an absolute success with both the food and the news going down with the guests a treat. We love it here at Hog Roast Newington when we attend events and the guests are visibly having an excellent time, chatting, laughing and tucking in on our delicious plates. We love to bring people together with food on special occasions such as this one, we are so excited for a whole summer of events like this!
