The Hog Roast Tonbridge team enjoyed a wonderful day out to Longmead Stadium, home to the Tonbridge Angels football club, the other week as we catered for the incredible wedding of Ellie and Tom.
Longmead was a fun venue to be at for a wedding. We’ve a couple Tonbridge Angels fans in our team, so there was an added novelty to be out on the pitch “playing at home”, as it were, for the weekend in what was an incredible wedding where we provided both a special catered lunch and a relaxing dinner later on for the evening guests.
Ellie and Tom had contacted the Hog Roast Tonbridge team some time ago looking for catering for their wedding. After a good few conversations with our catering manager Chris we agreed upon a fun, stylish, and delicious menu to help them celebrate their special day.
It of course had to begin with our hog roast. After the ceremony guests mingled and photos were taken all around the stadium before the Hog Roast Tonbridge team then served up our first menu of the day. Our signature hog roast was prepared with its usual sage and onion stuffing, golden crackling, and freshly made apple sauce. As this was a bespoke menu, a vegetarian option of grilled veg and halloumi skewers was also added, and then each plate was further piled high with our fresh slaw, tomato and mozzarella salad, Caesar salad, and buttered new potatoes. Dessert then followed with two options for guests: our homemade mini cheesecakes on a crumbly biscuit base, or a fresh lemon tarte.
The partying could then commence following this delicious lunch/early dinner, but one the evening guests had arrived the Hog Roast Tonbridge team had one more service to conduct: fresh veg and meat burgers served with grilled onions and cheese along with a medley of regular and sweet potato fries. A quickfire service that gets the guests going after a good bit of dancing and drinking, ensuring that the partying can continue on long into the night!
