While most brides and grooms favour the warm, balmy temperatures that summer brings, there are still plenty of couples out there who will attest to the brilliance of autumn marriages – and we have to agree with them!
Just imagining the crispy leaves in their various shades of burnt orange, red and brown carpeting the ground, the bitter chill in the air and the bright, clear skies has us longing to relive some of our recent catering jobs. Fortunately, Hog Roast Yalding has plenty more weddings lined up in the coming weeks to satisfy our autumn wedding appetite!
Just last weekend, we had the utmost pleasure of helping Angela and Carter celebrate their nuptials at a romantic spot that was tucked away in the countryside and featured expansive views of enchanting landscaped gardens and a gorgeous duck pond. The couple, who had spent years dreaming of a Fairytale wedding, had fallen in love with the venue as soon as they saw it, and while searching for the perfect catering service to match the tone of the space, they found Hog Roast Yalding.
Our team, led by catering manager, Chris, had promised to deliver an elegant spread that befitted the gorgeous venue, and you can bet they didn’t let Angela and Carter down!
The happy couple had asked us to serve our Formal Wedding Catering Menu With An Evening Buffet on the day, and Hog Roast Yalding spent all morning working on the spread for them. The results, as they always are when our team is in charge, were exceptional, and, right off the bat, everyone was impressed with our services.
As the guests arrived to kickstart the celebrations, Hog Roast Yalding greeted them with a selection of drinks and canapes, which kept them busy while the newlyweds had some photos taken. Once the couple had returned, Chris got the ball rolling on the main meal.
The guests were treated to a three-course banquet, which began with a homemade soup starter, followed by whole-roasted free-range chicken, sirloin of English beef or grilled veggie skewers with a vast number of sides to choose from. The feast ended with vacherins of strawberries and passion fruit cream or chocolate torte.
Hours later, after rebuilding their appetite from all the dancing, the guests were relieved to see Hog Roast Yalding return with an evening buffet, which saw us serve up the finest cured bacon and gourmet sausages on whole grain rolls with mustard and ketchup. Our team also served slices of wedding cake along with tea, coffee and mints, which the guests thoroughly enjoyed.
