With the end of the school year approaching, Hog Roast Hollingbourne has been preparing to cater for a school fair at a local secondary school. The fair is being hosted to raise money for the school’s upcoming end of year show, which includes a play, music, awards, and a leaving ceremony for the final years. As well as being an opportunity to raise money, the fair is also set to be a lot of fun for the students and families to enjoy, including games, activities, sports, and delicious catering from Hog Roast Hollingbourne. For the menu, our team was asked to serve a classic hog roast for 170 guests to enjoy, as it is an efficient and delicious menu!
On the day of the event, our team arrived at the school with plenty of time to prepare and cook the dishes. We set up our station on the school field, which was already being filled with games and activities for the afternoon. For the main dishes, we began by slow-roasting a hog and grilling BBQ pulled jackfruit, to ensure that there was a delicious meat and meat-free main course. The dishes were served with fresh bread rolls, homemade chips, sage and onion stuffing, and homemade chips. This created a delicious meal and had something for guests of all ages to enjoy, which was very important for this event. Our catering went down a treat and was a great addition to the event.
