You may have noticed that it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas around Staplehurst. The nights have drawn in meaning the decorations and sparkly lights are starting to brighten up the streets making us all feel very festive here at Hog Roast Staplehurst. Our teams are already prepping our festive menus for your events coming in December, but until then we were delighted to have helped some Staplehurst residents officially kick-off the season’s festivities with traditional switching on of the Christmas tree lights.
All across the UK it has always been a lovely tradition to have folk gather in towns and villages for the official Christmas light switch on. Normally families get to come out and enjoy a bit of light festive entertainment, a local speaker or two, before the lights go up and the carols begin. Hog Roast Staplehurst were invited out to a local switch on to help warm up the night with out own catered fare.
On a cold night there are few caterers that can warm up the occasion like Hog Roast Staplehurst. Our speciality in roast dining already makes jus the perfect candidate to get guests nice and comfortable, so when it comes to a Christmas light switch-on we knew just how to keep the awaiting families warmed up. We sent out a small Hog Roast Staplehurst team to set up a quick serve stall using our adaptable roasting machines. Our machine allowed us to roast a whole pig that would be enough to feed the around 100 or so expected attendees while then also giving us a platform to serve from. We had cooked the roast fresh earlier that day so that by the time we were arriving to site it was just about ready to go for use as a pulled pork filling for hot rolls. All that was left to be done was to prep our rolls, and as each guest came up for their roll our chefs merely had to hand pull straight from the pig and into the roll. It doesn’t get much fresher or hotter than that!
The lights looked magnificent to cap off an excellent evening of festive fun for the Hog Roast Staplehurst team!
