When it comes to hog roasts, one of the most common questions we find people asking themselves before going ahead and placing a booking is whether or not a spit-roasted pig fits with the overall aesthetic of their event. But that’s the beauty of hog roasts – they go with everything! And here’s another little secret: despite what you might have heard, they don’t have to cost you an arm and a leg either!
Here at Hog Roast Greatstone, we have made it our life’s mission to ensure that our menus are inclusive of all event themes and budget requirements. So, whether it’s a wedding, a birthday bash, a funeral, a religious celebration or a ‘just because’ gathering, you can guarantee that your guests will be pleased to see one of our chargrilled pigs taking centre stage at your event. Unless they’re vegan, of course, in which case we’ll be sure to impress them with our tasty meat-free alternatives, which are so packed full of flavour that even devout meat-eaters can’t seem to resist.
And, in case it wasn’t obvious, for all of us here at Hog Roast Greatstone, everything we do is about ensuring our customers and clients get the most out of their event – especially now, in Covid times where gatherings with loved ones are so few and far between.
So, when Alfie and Olivia got in touch with us to ask about options for their wedding breakfast, our Hog Roast Greatstone catering manager Chris made himself available to talk the pair through each of the set menu options we have on offer, while also explaining that we can also prepare custom menus for all of our clients if required. The happy couple quickly fell in love with our Alfresco Wedding Menu, which offers an informal take on wedding catering. This was perfect for the rustic, chilled-out scene the pair had planned for their special day.
The months between the couple’s first call with Hog Roast Greatstone and their wedding day last Saturday flew in quick, and, as promised, Chris made sure that everyone left feeling satisfied thanks to the stunning spread, which covered everything from antipasti platters to start, a rotisserie-cooked pig with beautifully presented sides and a delicious dessert for afters.
