It seems as though May has given us all a false impression of what this year’s summer was going to be. Last month the UK set a new record for hours of sunshine in May. We had glorious weeks of sunshine and warm weather meaning the barbecues could be dusted off early and all of us eagerly anticipated what looked assured to be a glorious few months of summer weather. But if last month was a record for sunshine then there is most certainly little evidence of that now as June has started off as fairly miserable, wet, and grey just about every single day.
It has not quite been the kick-off to our summer catering that we were hoping for here at Hog Roast Aylesford. But we won’t little the drizzle dampen our spirits just yet, nor will it dampen you summer dining menu! Our Hog Roast Aylesford teams have been doing their best to bring as much of the summer to this damp June with your events. With barbecue and hog roast plans already in place for months ahead of our June events, we’ve not been about to give up. We can still cook our barbecue, get our hog roast out and sizzling, because all we need to do is throw up our gazebo tent and our foods stay nice and dry and warm. We also have some gazebos for our customers too so that you can come out and get served without having to get wet, either. And don’t worry about the colder weather. Our hog roasts and barbecued burgers and sausages will warm you right on up soon enough, too.
We’ve had weddings that looked in danger of needing catered plans altered, but our Hog Roast Aylesford chefs and servers are always ready to persevere. We’re not giving up on the summer just yet, and we hope you aren’t either!
