While hog roasting brings a lot of rich, fatty foods that might not otherwise be suited for kids or a kids event, your Hog Roast Bearsted team are always happy to come up with a menu that is better suited. Of course, they may love our hog roast carved up into delicious pulled pork also – that is really up to you and them!
But for a more kid friendly menu your Hog Roast Bearsted chefs will always be happy to cook something up for you. We have had a lot of success in the past with our kid-friendly version of our gourmet barbecue, as an example. This means some small sausages (cut up if needed), small burgers, chips, some vegetables to keep them healthy, salad, etc. For these menus we’ll make sure not to add as much spicing or seasoning that might otherwise go into our regular version of the menu.
We’d also be happy to do mini pizzas for the kids using our small portable pizza ovens. This one can be a bit of fun for the kids because they can see their pizza being made – we might even be able to let them do their own toppings before our expert chef gets it safely in the oven for them. With our fish fryer we can also do a small ‘chip shop’ portion for them of fish and chips. Or we can make small snack bites of a range of differing styles to give them something small enough to enjoy while also delivering a tonne of different flavours. You never know, perhaps they’ll discover something new that they like at your own Hog Roast Bearsted event!
So the answer is yes, we can cater for children and their events. Hog Roast Bearsted have catered for birthday parties as young as one year old in the past. As your bespoke caterer we can always adapt a menu to suit to what you need. Whether that just means reduced portions or something altogether more fun and interactive for the kids is up to you and our chefs!
