Just like buses, you wait an age for the bank holidays to arrive and suddenly two arrive at once. From January to March there is not a single bank holiday beyond the first New Year’s day holiday. Then you get to April and the Easter weekend brings us four glorious days from work to enjoy, and suddenly it is off to the races from there as the next bank holiday comes just a month later, and the next even less time after that.
To our team at Hog Roast Gillingham, that just means all the more reason to start booking in your event plans with our catering!
After a hugely enjoyable Easter weekend where your Hog Roast Gillingham teams were all across Maidstone serving up parties on the Friday, Saturday, Easter Sunday, and
even a few more come the Monday too, we are excited to do it all over again at the beginning and end of May. The Early May bank holiday comes in just a few short weeks on May 4th, before then the Late Spring bank holiday on May 25th takes us nicely into the summer where we’ll be looking to enjoy classic summer barbecues, al fresco dining events, summer weddings, and glorious roasts some more. Having witnessed firsthand just how much our dining can add to a bank holiday event over Easter, we are hugely excited to bring our unique brand of stylish dining into your May day plans too!
A bank holiday event is a must. With at least an extra day off from work in which to rest and relax, the Saturday or the Sunday are for celebrating with friends and family. The nice spring weather should mean that garden parties are an option, even if a few spring showers do come over Gillingham – our marquee serving tents will make for good cover anyway, in such a scenario. That means a barbecue is in order, or our refreshing al fresco menu – made for a garden party – complete with platters and grazing tables of the finest Italian meats, cheeses, artisanal breads, and refreshing salad leaves and dressing oils.
