Just because it’s a new month doesn’t mean that the summer wedding season is slowing down. With August we are still in the thick of one of the busiest times of year at Hog Roast West Malling, but of course we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Kicking things off once again in August, another wedding over the weekend held at the exceptional Kentfield Country Estate. This is a wonderful venue for wedding parties looking for a good bit of private seclusion and beautiful views across a small private pond. With Kentfield Country Estate the land is yours for the day, and you can have it dressed up beautifully – as this wedding did – to fit your style and dreams of your own special day.
It was also a great place for our own Hog Roast West Malling team to work at. To cook in a summer evening surrounded by such lovely views and a quaint lakeside is the stuff of dreams for any caterer. We got into this business because we loved cooking and serving for others, but every now and then the pleasure is absolutely all ours as we get to create such brilliant memories of our cook cooking in venues like this.
And our menu more than matched that beauty. Our dining service made sure to make use of the summery aesthetic and vibe by adding to it with our every own al fresco dining range. Little more says summer quite like the finest Italian cuts and cheeses with artisanal breads, salad leaves, and dipping oils, all served on platter boards in a colourful and vibrant arrangement. If the tone was well set with our antipasti platters, then the main event blew it out the water. A buffet selection of our famed whole roasted pork, sage and onion stuffing, crispy crackling, gourmet sausages, marinated chicken thighs, grilled veg and halloumi skewers, seasonal leaves, tomato and mozzarella salad, gourmet coleslaw, roasted new potatoes, and a medley of regular and sweet potato fries. Perfect for the venue and perfect for the wedding party!
To close out a perfect night, Hog Roast West Malling’s own handmade profiteroles and individual cheesecakes – just as sweetener to an already sweet evening of wedding dining!
