Thought that just because it is coming to the end of August that the wedding season would be slowing down at Hog Roast Gillingham? Think again! There’s still plenty more wedding merriment and catering to be had here. Case in point, this past weekend, the second last of August, brought us several more as the Hog Roast Gillingham spent the Friday, Saturday, and the Sunday spreading out across the county to keep the great wedding dining vibes going!
This wedding season has been one of our most favourite at Hog Roast Gillingham in a good long while. It is always a rewarding time of year, but something about this season has just felt extra special. Perhaps it is because a little more than 5 years ago our industry seemed threatened and it has taken until now to truly feel like it has normalized; perhaps it is because we are entering into our third decade of doing this and we only just feel like now we are really hitting out stride with both experience and plenty of enthusiasm now on our side; or perhaps it is because every year is just yet another reminder of what a privilege this jobs is. Regardless of the reason, the Hog Roast Gillingham team have loved every second of it.
And we have taken that love into our menus and services, too. One from this past weekend put away any suggestion that the summer may be coming to an end anytime soon, as we had our gourmet barbecue selection out on show for 71 very happy guests to devour. With the gourmet burgers, sausages, and handmade Thai kebabs coming hot off the grill seemingly by the dozen, it was so clear that summer wasn’t over yet – nor was the wedding season! Guests were coming back in for more rolls, or to top up on our fresh sides of gourmet coleslaw, Greek salad, and fresh fries right the way through the evening. By the end of the night, who’s to say how many servings we had dished out in total! At the very least, no one went home hungry – that is for certain!
