Though the kids may be back to school and the sunny weather is beginning to make its exit, when it comes to weddings the summer season is seemingly not quite done yet. At Hog Roast Upchurch, we still have a slate of weddings taking us through September, including this most excellent one out at the Oak Grove in Upchurch, where the summer vibes could not have been clearer.
The Oak Grove is an extremely unique venue. For one, as far as weddings go it is a summer-only venue. Wedding dates can only be booked in on the weekends between May and September, which leaves only 18 very exclusive dates each year for wedding goers. Such exclusivity is very highly sought after, so to even bag a date with this dream venue means your special day is certainly going to be just so.
Right away as the Hog Roast Upchurch made it to the venue, it was clear to see why this venue is so exclusive. Beautifully done up, very private, with a magical feel throughout the woodland glade; we could not have asked for a better environment to work in for the day, and we were also lucky enough to have a bride, groom, and 120 lovely guests that also matched up to the quality of the venue. Everyone was a delight with us, coming on over to the Hog Roast Upchurch serving tent to pick up their high-piled plates of fresh hog roast, sage and onion stuffing, crispy crackling, and apple sauce with a whole host of accompaniments thereafter to make this a dining experience just as special as everything else in the day. Along with their hog roast, guests could also enjoy marinated chicken thighs, vegan BBQ pulled jackfruit, fresh chips, sweet potato fries, tomato and mozzarella salad, mixed leaves, and creamy red cabbage coleslaw.
