At the beginning of April, Hog Roast Headcorn was hired to provide catering for Kathleen’s 50th birthday, serving a menu to her friends and family from the comfort of her home. The menu needed to be ideal for 80 guests to enjoy, including a vegetarian option and a variety of tasty side dishes. After looking through the menus that our team have to offer, our catering manager Chris was hired to provide our classic hog roast menu, with a few delicious additions!
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Headcorn team arrived early to ensure that the menu was ready to be served at the 20:00 mealtime. We began by roasting the hog and ensuring that it was cooked to perfection, packed full of natural juices and flavours. Once ready, the meat was carved and served in fresh bread rolls, along with homemade applesauce and sage and onion stuffing. For meat-free guests, we also prepared grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers, which went down a treat! The main dishes were accompanied by homemade chips, tomato and mozzarella salad, and new potatoes, to create a varied and delicious meal.
Our menu was served on wooden crockery and cutlery, as this was the ideal level of formality for Kathleen’s occasion. It was great to provide catering for this milestone birthday and ensure that the event ran smoothly!
