A local school in Maidstone hosted an event for their 2021 graduates, celebrating all that they have achieved. The event was taking place in the hall of the school, with a formal dress code and catering provided by Hog Roast Detling. The school reached out to our catering manager Chris to enquire about which menus would be ideal for a formal event such as a graduation. After a discussion, we decided that our Hog Roast Dining menu would be the perfect choice.
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Detling team arrived early to prepare the hall for our catering package. The tables were laid with china crockery and cutlery, while our chefs prepared the dishes. As the guests arrived, we began by serving a selection of tasty canapés, including fresh salmon, mini fish and chips, an Indian selection, mini pizzas, and roasted duck breast. Canapes are a great introduction to our catering and set an elegant tone for the rest of the meal.
Once the guests were seated they enjoyed our classic Hog Roast Detling main course. Slow-roasted pork was expertly carved and served with sage and onion stuffing, crispy crackling, and homemade applesauce, as well as seasonal vegetables and roast potatoes. For meat-free guests, we provided BBQ pulled jackfruit served with fresh bread rolls.
To finish the catering, our team provided profiteroles and sticky toffee pudding, served with optional fresh fruit and English cream. This was the perfect end to a great meal and was enjoyed by every guest!
