At Hog Roast Harrietsham we have found it common for celebrations to double up onto the one event. Life has a habit of getting in the way and so the achievements and celebrations can stack up until it makes sense just to join them together for the one party. Birthdays close together, anniversaries that come close to other birthdays, job promotions, etc. It is rare however, even in our three decades of event catering services in Maidstone, to have three celebrations at the one event!
But that was the case this past weekend as the Hog Roast Harrietsham team enjoyed a triple threat event that celebrated an exceptional 50th anniversary for one lovely couple, along with belated celebrations for both having turned 70 recently. That’s two birthday and the one anniversary in the one event – an incredible rarity and all the more reason to really go out with the dining and celebrations!
So what better a menu to match up to such an occasion than Hog Roast Harritesham’s famed hog roast dining experience! Head chef Chris knew right away that it would be just the thing to satisfy all parties and match up to the height of the occasion. A 50th anniversary requires something special, as does two 70th birthdays. Fortunately, our hog roast encapsulates all of that celebration and specialness into one perfectly roasted, meaty package!
We had it out on our mobile roasting machine early in the day so that by the time the event came around in the late afternoon we would be able to continue cooking on site for even more style and spectacle. The result for guests is a dining experience that more than matches to the occasion, as our hog roast comes fresh off the spit ready for serving in pulled form or finely carved by chef Chris. The party went for hand pulled pork rolls with our sage and onion stuffing, crispy crackling, fresh apple sauce, and fresh accompanying salads and gourmet coleslaw. As a veggie option: grilled veg and halloumi skewers with tzatziki dip and sweet chilli sauce.
