The nice thing about working with Hog Roast Marden is that you will find a team that comes from all ages, all walks of life. Because of that, from time to time we can have really fun discussions around our kitchen that will come with a huge range of diverse answers. One such discussion recently, prompted in fun by a recent event in town, was how many of the team remember their 18th birthdays. For some of the older heads, the answer was not all too much, but perhaps that is more due to time than the events of the night; our younger crowd were a little more sheepish about how much they remembered.
Either way, what became clear is that your 18th is made to be well celebrated. It’s the step into adulthood here in the UK, and is the party which is most made for going all out with the festivities. So, then, it was wonderful to be able to join for one recently as the Hog Roast Marden team catered for over 80 guests at an 18th here in town. Friends and family, all come together for one of best birthday milestones in life – of course great dining from Hog Roast Marden was needed too.
In years to come when our birthday guest is asked about their own 18th one thing will be for certain: they’ll definitely remember our hog roast. How could you forget such an exceptional, such a stylish and novel dining experience like an authentic hog roast? Ours comes made in the traditional spit style with the spectacle well preserved for the big occasions like an 18th. Our head chef Chris delighted in showing it off while then hand pulling the pork and scraping the crispy crackling into a portion for our guests. Each could get fresh pork, stuffing, crackling, side salads, and grilled veg and halloumi skewers to see them through the night of revelry and plenty of dancing. With such a great meal, few were likely to forget the night!
